Ticking the boxes for optimal soil health and cane productivity
Early Results Show Increased Yield and CCS in Sugarcane Trials
A series of replicated NatraMin trials have been established across the NSW North Coast in both sugarcane and soybeans to validate the production benefits observed by growers over many seasons. One such trial is underway on the property of David and John Haynes near Woodburn in Northern NSW.
Applications of NatraMin at 300–500kg/ha has delivered clear improvements in cane yield, sugar content (CCS) and tonnes of sugar/ha (TSH).

What Growers Say
Gordon Bebb and Andrew Forrester, Clarence Valley NSW
“We are getting longer and healthier ratoon crops and are impressed with how well our cane is stooling out. The difference in our soil is noticeable. Worms are active, our soil is more friable and less tillage is required prior to planting. In our heavy clay country, sugarcane plough-out paddocks work up without clods.”
Merv Greaves and Simon Andreoli, Bundaberg QLD
“Visually it stands out where NatraMin is applied to our cane. Six years ago we first trialled NatraMin across some weak spots in a block to see if there would be a benefit. It wasn’t long before I could see the response, with results increasing after the first Ratoon to the point where the weak spots were as good as the rest of the paddock by the time we cut the 2nd crop.”

The AgSolutions Difference
Restore the Mineral Balance to Your Soil
Why choose NatraMin? With over twenty mineral elements being essential for optimum plant nutrition, soil remineralisation is a key factor to restore natural fertility to your soil.
Because of increasing costs and declining results from traditional NPK programs, many farmers have discovered that remineralisation with NatraMin provides results through improved soil structure, increased nutrient availability and better utilisation of both applied and stored nutrients.
Across Australia, in all sectors of Agriculture, many farmers who have made the change to include NatraMin in their soil management program have reported a noticeable difference in their soil and crops.
Producers have reported:
- Improved soil structure
- Reduced tillage costs
- Increased worm activity
- Soil pH improvements
- Reduced crusting and salinity
- Improved nutrient availability
- Greater water infiltration and moisture retention
- Increased crop and pasture yield
- Better quality produce
- Improved plant strength and vigour with reduced incidence of pests and disease
- Reduced water-soluble fertiliser requirements

Application Guide
The NatraMin range is made from natural rock minerals and trace elements that do not require a withholding period before livestock or horse can graze. All NatraMin blends are non-leaching and may be applied at any stage of the growing cycle, on existing crops, or for best results, 4-6 weeks before planting.
